Ingredients
2 cups fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
1/3 cup pine nuts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Rinse and dry the basil leaves completely. Peel the garlic cloves.
2. Toast pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until golden and aromatic. Let cool.
3. In a food processor, combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan. Pulse until finely chopped.
4. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil. Blend until smooth or your desired consistency.
5. Add salt, blend again, and adjust seasoning to taste.
Notes
