Ingredients

2 pounds chicken breasts

4 cups broccoli florets

8 oz cream cheese

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray or butter.

2. Add chicken breasts to the bottom of the crockpot. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Scatter cubed cream cheese on top.

3. Pour in the heavy cream. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the chicken is tender.

4. Shred the chicken using two forks directly in the crockpot and stir everything until creamy.

5. Add broccoli florets and mix to combine.

6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

7. Cover and cook on low for 1 to 1.5 additional hours until broccoli is tender and cheese is melty.

8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For best texture with frozen broccoli, add it halfway through cooking.

Make it spicier by adding red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños.

Leftovers can be frozen for up to 2 months.
