Ingredients

1 cup whole milk

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/4 cup granulated sugar

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for dough)

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Warm the milk to 110°F. Stir in yeast and granulated sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Mix in yeast mixture, eggs, and melted butter. Knead until a smooth dough forms, about 8 minutes. Cover and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours.

3. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until creamy to make the filling.

4. Roll dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly. Roll into a log and slice into 12 buns. Place on parchment-lined sheet. Let rise for 30–45 minutes.

5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–22 minutes or until golden.

6. Mix powdered sugar, honey, milk, and vanilla to make glaze. Drizzle over warm buns.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for easier dough blending.

Don’t over-bake or the buns will lose their softness.

Let the glaze soak in while buns are still warm for best results.
