Crispy on the outside and flaky in the center, this Easy and Delicious Air Fryer Cod is a quick dinner that delivers fresh flavor with very little effort. It’s an easy recipe for busy weeknights, light dinner ideas, healthy seafood meals, and simple food ideas when you want something satisfying without a heavy prep. The golden Parmesan breadcrumb topping, bright lemon, and tender cod make this one of those quick air fryer dinners you’ll want to keep on repeat.


Ingredients

1 lb cod fillets

2 tbsp olive oil

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 lemon, cut into wedges

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Pat the cod fillets dry very well with paper towels.

2. Brush the cod all over with olive oil.

3. In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

4. Press the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of each cod fillet.

5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.

6. Arrange the cod fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.

7. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on thickness, until the topping is golden and the fish flakes easily with a fork.

8. Remove carefully and finish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges for serving.

Notes

Use cod fillets that are close in thickness so they cook evenly.

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the coating may not crisp properly.

Start checking at the 8-minute mark because thinner fillets can cook very quickly.
