Description

Grape Jelly Meatballs are a quick appetizer, easy dinner, and party favorite all in one. These tender meatballs are coated in a sweet and savory sauce made with grape jelly and chili sauce, creating one of the easiest food ideas for game day, holiday gatherings, potlucks, and simple dinner ideas when you need an easy recipe that always gets rave reviews.

Ingredients

2 pounds frozen fully cooked meatballs

1 cup grape jelly

1 cup chili sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

1. Add the grape jelly, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper to a large skillet, saucepan, or slow cooker.

2. Stir the sauce ingredients together over low heat until the jelly begins to melt and the mixture looks smooth.

3. Add the frozen meatballs and stir gently to coat them well in the sauce.

4. Simmer on the stovetop over medium-low heat for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meatballs are fully heated through and the sauce is glossy.

5. For the slow cooker method, cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or on high for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then switch to warm for serving.

6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Use homestyle frozen meatballs for the best tender texture and classic party-style flavor.

Stir gently while heating so the meatballs stay intact and the sauce does not scorch.

For a tangier sauce, add a little extra chili sauce; for a looser sauce, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of water.
