Whether you’re hunting for dessert inspiration, fun baking projects with kids, or simple treats that scream Halloween, this easy recipe has you covered.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup Halloween candy-coated chocolates

1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons orange and purple sugar sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease it.

2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.

3. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well blended.

4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir until just combined—don’t overmix.

5. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

6. Bake for 25–28 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.

7. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.

8. Drizzle the melted chocolate chips over the cooled brownies.

9. Top with candy-coated chocolates and sprinkles, pressing them gently into the chocolate.

10. Once set, lift out and slice into 9 or 12 squares.

Notes

Make sure not to overbake—brownies should have moist crumbs.

Press candies gently while chocolate drizzle is still wet to help them stick.

Cool completely before slicing for clean, sharp edges.
