Description

Start your holidays with the creamy indulgence of Puerto Rican Coquito—a no-cook, quick-mix coconut drink infused with cinnamon, vanilla, and white rum. Perfect as a festive, easy recipe for parties, gifting, or cozy winter sipping. This Coquito is a go-to for Christmas and New Year’s, and a standout among quick holiday breakfast ideas or dessert drinks for entertaining. Whether you’re after a nostalgic food idea or a new seasonal tradition, this easy Coquito delivers.

Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) coconut milk

1 can (15 oz) cream of coconut

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

1 cup white rum

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

1. Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for easier blending.

2. In a large blender, combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, white rum, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.

3. Blend the mixture until completely smooth.

4. Taste and adjust the cinnamon, vanilla, or rum if desired. You can also add more cream of coconut for thickness or milk to thin it out.

5. Pour the blended Coquito into a bottle or airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

6. Shake well before serving. Pour into glasses and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top if desired.

Notes

Shake well before serving as contents may settle during chilling.

For a thicker version, add extra cream of coconut or a small splash of heavy cream.

Omit the rum for a kid-friendly, non-alcoholic version.
