Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

500 grams ground beef

2 medium carrots, diced

1 cup green peas

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 cup beef stock

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.

2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

3. Add ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spoon and cook until fully browned, about 6–7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.

4. Stir in diced carrots and tomato paste. Cook for 2 minutes to enhance flavor.

5. Add green peas and stir to combine.

6. Pour in beef stock and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.

7. Reduce heat and let cook for 10–12 minutes until the sauce thickens and the veggies are tender.

8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Always brown the beef thoroughly for maximum flavor.
