Ingredients
6 cups Chex cereal
1 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cup freeze-dried blueberries
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup mini lemon wafer cookies (optional)
Instructions
1. Measure Chex cereal into a large bowl and set aside. Lightly crush freeze-dried blueberries and set aside.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, butter, and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
3. Stir vanilla extract and lemon zest into the melted mixture.
4. Pour the coating over the cereal and gently fold until evenly coated.
5. Add crushed blueberries and fold again to combine.
6. Place powdered sugar in a large zip-top bag. Add coated cereal mix and shake until everything is fully coated.
7. Add mini lemon wafer cookies if using and shake again gently.
8. Spread puppy chow on a baking sheet to cool and set.
9. Once dry, store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for longer shelf life.
